I'm trying to set up a competition on my site and I set up and email address for people to enter the competition and I set up an autoresponder from competition@blahblah.com to say 'thank for entering the competition... etc'. The problem is I tried emailing from another email address and got the autoresponse back into my junk mail folder. I'm worried people will not get the autoresponse. Is there any way of avoiding this?

My normal email address seems to work fine and I haven't been spamming anyone.

If you can send me a link to the form I can check the email headers etc., for you to see why

Thanks Michele much appreciated!

I thought I'd just get people to email for the competition, so I just PMed you the email address. Hope that's enough to get some feedback on. I'd ignore the actual email content, it's a load of gibberish at the moment. Cheers :)

Ok
Checking the headers I can see a couple of basic issues

You're sending the email as HTML, but you're not using HTML in the body, so that would get a couple of points on some spam filters

You're also sending it as HTML only and the plain text is getting encoded

Solution might be to send plain text as plain text OR send HTML as HTML

The thing to watch for is in the headers - checking the mimetypes can help :)
