Howdy,
I'm setting up a website (cigars.ie) with a couple of relatives. Showed some of you the preview of it already. I'm looking for a neat cms to use for the site. I don't mind if it is asp/.net/php as long as you can work with templates within it. The features/modules I need are:
Home Page - with recent blog entries, user poll, latest forum entries
Forum - preferably vBulletin or one that looks good like it
Blog - I like wordpress
Reviews - could be a subsection of blog
Polls
General text pages - wordpress could handle this
There needs to be a centralised membership database so that once you are logged in on the home page, you can post in the forum, comment on blogs, submit reviews, vote in polls, etc. without having seperate logins to each section.
There are a lot of portal sites out there but I don't like the look of them or their cms. Maybe they could be customised to suit the design - Cigars.ie Design Concept.
I'd love a cms that integrated vbulletin and wordpress into one or something along those lines. I've been looking at ExpressionEngine - Publish Your Universe! and it looks good I think. And it was mentioned to me that joomla possibly supported vbulletin+wordpress integration but I've no experience in that.
Any suggestions/advice would be welcome.
