I think you can get more detailed information from statcounter but the interface with google analytics is much better. Also you can generate nice reports from analytics.

Better is too subjective to say. It depends on your reporting needs. If you can give me an example of what you want to track in Google Analytics, I can try and let you know if its possible or not.
