How long does it take to transfer dot IE domain?

Hi there

I was wondering how long it takes to transfer a DOT ie domain from host to host. I was also wondering how long it takes for DOT ie domain DNS nameservers to update?

Yesterday we transfered a DOT ie from host to host. We got the client to fax the confirmation to the IEDR. Today I updated the DNS records on the domain but the domain still hasn't updated yet.

On the whois it showing the domain has transfered host but the DNS nameservers haven't been updated yet.

I was wondering if anybody have similar experience or advice?

The IEDR update their zone 4 times a day - 1000 1200 1700 and 2200
If you try to switch nameservers at 1215 no change can be reflected until after 1700

It's not clear from your query if you are talking about just changing the nameservers or the billing as well ..
