Image SEO - Hyphen vs underscore vs space?

Searched the forum but could not find an answer to my specific question (yes i did read the 'URL - hyphen or underscore topic')

When giving a title to an image is it better to use hyphen or underscore or a space?

How does Google view all this? Or Bing etc?

This is what i found after a few hours digging around, i hope it helps.

In Unix/Linux/PHP environments spaces dont make sense. Do prefer hyphens/dash (this-is-hyphen-which-also-is-called-dash) vs spaces vs underscore (this_is_underscore) when building URLs, so save your images with hyphens.
But when it comes down to the ALT text/description of an image, it is best to use spaces. At least as per Google's almighty SEO weather maker, Matty Cutts.
