Just wondering if there is a list of methods of accepting lazer in shopping carts - apologies if this has been covered - couldnt find anything fully comprehensive

i only know of 2 - REALEX and NETBANX

and what about nochex - they apparantly accept maestro - I have 2 laser cards and they both have maestro on them - is this the norm or ??

As far as I know all the new Laser cards are Maestro / Mastercard , but the older ones wouldn't be ...

Supporting Laser cards

Check out www dot webpayments dot ie for a list of all of the payment gateway providers in Ireland that support laser.

The fact that they are co-branded with Maestro is only relevant if you are using the card outside of Ireland, when they will (should!) be processed as Maestro cards.

In Ireland they have to be processed as Laser cards - which is one of the drawbacks of Paypal, who can not support Laser cards.

Are you saying that if the payment processor doesnt accept laser then a maestro card can't be processed in ireland if it has laser on it even if the payment processor accepts maestro ?
Are the two ( maestro and laser ) linked in some way ? ... i thought they just both appeared on the card together coincidentally

If the merchant is Irish, they must process laser cards as laser, not as maestro.

This is the reason PayPal cannot accept laser cards for Irish merchants, though it can accept maestro cards.
