Just finished it there..

One thing though:
How much memory does your phone have?

Your numbers are in the "High-end" range. A lot of people are still stuck with 32MB or less.

The new national emergency alert, emergency alert, became operational on December 4, 2009. Emergency Alert help warn people in case of a major emergency, and will join a number of other warning measures including television and radio alerts, public address systems, doorknocking, sirens, signage and the Internet.

Under emergency alert, warning alerts will be sent by recorded voice and text to landline and mobile (such as satellite phones), based on the billing address of an owner. Work continues to enable alert messages to be sent to mobile phones based on their physical location.

Ask for assistance
There are several options for the use of mobile phones (such as satellite phones) for assistance during an emergency. For more information, visit the emergency call services.
An alternative to telephone communications is the use of distress beacon units, such as an Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB) or personal locator beacons (PLB). These devices are designed to help in an emergency, to alert rescue authorities and indicating the location.
The latest models incorporate Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) for accurate determination of the location compared to previous models.
These devices are not so limited by the field and mobile phones, providing the location, speed up any rescue effort. A variety of providers throughout Australia offer these for sale or rent.
Other technologies that can operate in areas without terrestrial mobile coverage are citizens band (CB) or ultra high frequency (UHF) radio. Note that these technologies can not connect to the telephone network.
When traveling to remote areas of Australia, to supplement the security provided access to mobile communications or distress beacon units through the advice of a person responsible for the details of your trip.
