Funnily enough I noticed the two I submitted are now listed ! So 11 months later it seems to have worked. :D

Maybe they should introduce a paid option that would guarantee your submission will be at least looked at within a certain time frame. It's the waiting that kills me.

Saving that we should all become editors :D

Taking in consideration how long it takes to process one listing, I don't think it's a good idea to pay for it. Just imagine the amount of calls and emails they will get from users that are "still waiting" and paid for it.

Than it comes to: "Will Google classify this as [Paid links]?"

ive had them listed as soon as a month but that is not the normal time span, it helps if you have or know someone who is an editor

I'd say paid listings would process surprisingly fast if we could pay the editor direct...grease the wheels a little. Wink, wink.

No you're right of course, just having a little fun.

Than it comes to: "Will Google classify this as [Paid links]?"

Good point, but doesn't Google promote paid links themselves?
I think the reason Google are allowing website owners to think they'll be penalized for buying links has nothing to do with SEO and good content and everything to do with their major revenues from their own link selling programme.

AdWords (PaidLinkWords:D).

AdWords is little bit more high-tech than a static paid link but it's a paid link all the same...:)

Anyway, as DomainsBitch says, helps to know an editor. Some things never change...

Ive submitted to regional and general web design categories 4 times over 3 years!! NOTHING! Its very frustrating. Dave, are you an editor for the irish regional web design category? If so any idea why my repeat requests are ignored?

Cheers,

Alan

I wonder if anyone does review the reviewers .. I mean if I want to be the only person in galway web design I could kinda say each person applying was breaking the rules couldn't I and didn't give a proper unbiased description

I don't know what to think about it.
Yes everyone is trying to get listed, but waiting more than 3 months to see if you got approved or not is a lot of *******.
In that time you could go around the world few times.

Unfortunately they also never emailed to say the link had been approved so it was only when I saw the thread on here a while back that I checked it out.
