I'm running a small GAW campaign for a client. I have three different sets of ads, keywords and landing pages set up for this.

One of them is running fine; the other two are Active but tell me "No ad is showing for keyword foo bar."
Reasons:
This keyword is not triggering any of your ads.

What does this mean?
There are a variety of reasons why your keyword is not triggering any ads. If you've just added the keyword phrase to your campaign, you may want to check back in a few moments to see if the status for your keyword has changed. Our specialists review each submitted keyword, so you may experience a momentary delay. Another explanation is that our system may be experiencing a delay.

What can I do?
To improve your ad delivery, you may want to raise your daily budget since it directly affects your ad delivery. If your budget is set below the recommended budget, your ads may not receive all possible impressions.
My Quality Score is 8/10 for all of these ads, and the estimated bids for all ads is well below my maximum bid setting. These ads have been "not showing" for 24 hours now and I honestly do not do enough of this to have any idea at all what the trouble might be. Can anyone advise?

If "sit tight and wait" is the answer, that's grand, I just want to check I've not screwed anything up. Thanks!

Sit tight and wait is the answer. I'm going to do a blog post about this shortly.

Basically, certain (most?) keywords have to be approved by a human. (Automatic approval does not even exist on the content network)

Over the weekend there is at MOST a skeleton staff of "approvers" on.

There may be other issues (business model for example) but that's not usually the case. There are also a few other reasons it might not show. Did you mistakenly add a negative keyword that you shouldn't have? Mess up targeting?

If not, your ads should start showing in the next few hours when the next intern has his/her coffee :)

OK so when they say "wait a few moments" they mean "wait a few days and hope that Starbucks is fuelling the interns with sufficient amounts of caffeine to get through your campaign."

Why don't they just SAY THAT? :D

Thanks - still not running, but if you say "sit tight" I'm going to sit tight. Cheers!

Pretty much :)

I actually wouldn't hold my breath though, I think it might be some sort of public holiday over the other side.

Also, if it's a shady affiliate offer, Google wont like that.

Let me know if you want me to take a look.

PS: There's no targeting at all going on beyond the top, required categories of "Ireland" and "English" and I only have three negative keywords that are very innocuous (I think) - for example, laptop with repair on the negative list. While I'm willing to accept I may well have broken AdWords, I don't think my negatives did it.

I hope.... :)
