Did anybody manage to skip down to the voting stations to do their thing?

I have never registered to vote but somehow a voting card made its way through the post box back home last week. I would have voted Batt O'Keefe (FF) if I was in Cork.

Yep - I registered to vote in Navan for the first time so it was handy to be able to pop down and do it. Before I was always in college or far away from my home in Dublin so I never got a chance to vote. Quick and painless - didn't even take 5 mins out of my day.

I voted for Mr Tayto... those ads really worked for me! :D

I voted. To be honest I have mixed feelings about the result. While I think it's good to change parties every few years as the ruling party always becomes shiftless and corrupt eventually, I do think that FF are best left in power. I am one of the few who feels that Ireland's pathetic infrastructure and reliance on outside investment is going to lead to economic meltdown and it will be nice to see how Bertie deals with the bad times as well as the good.
