How do you track your website visitors?

I want to know is there anything you do to track your website visitors.
Do you place some programming script on your web to work on that?

I'm wonderng because I have a few place where I submitted my website link, I am sure that that you submitted to a lot of place on the web. So how you define that it is resulting traffic to your web?

Google Analytics is pretty good, but it's not without its issues ....

Awstats is handy for a simple overview

Webalizer used to be great, but hasn't really been updated in years

Statcounter is quite good

Statcounter all the way for me. It updates in real time and is very easy to navigate and use, and it's run by some Irish guys too, I believe.

I used to use statcounter... But I found google analytics easier so thats what i use.

Google Analytics for long term analysis

BBClone(PHP sites only really) for a real time view
mint or statcounter do the job quite good too.

If google analytics figures out a way to show a real time view like they do here

I love statcounter, well at least its enough information for me. Only downfall is sometimes it doesnt integrate with some PHP site installs (has nver worked within Wordpress for me) but then other php sites it does

Its probably only news to me as I live "under my bed" but I was happy to find out they are Irish and based here. As I I live under my bed it was probably only news to me
