Photography websites

Here's two I've designed myself (the former for me the latter opens this friday if you want to see it in reality), I bought me a copy of .net magazine yesterday and there was an excellent one in there but I don't have the link on me, however when I get home I'll be sure to put it up for you.

I'm a relative newbie here too, so Welcome. Your questions seem a bit too precise for anybody who is not more closely involved with your project to be able to answer, it seems to me. Questions in relation to budgets, in particular, are not usually discussed in such a public forum, though protocol seems to be gradually changing on the Internet. I really like "Circa" magazine and usually read excerpts when I visit this place: Illusion on Flickr - Photo Sharing! Best of luck with your new venture.

Welcome again to the forum Anouilh. Some lovely pictures up on your Flickr!

Hi all, new to this forum, but not to the internet.

I read this forum a lot (seem to find it in google all the time!) so I figure it's about time I joined it ;)

I work with vbulletin (a Content Management System), both coding modifications for it and running a dating site personally and in my daily job.

I look forward to skimming advice from people working with adsense and other things longer than I am, and to offering my own in return where possible!

Hi everyone,

I only heard about this place over the weekend, so thought I'd drop by. Delighted that I did. :D

I have a few websites out there, including a blog, but mainly I look after the Dog Training Ireland website, all in my spare time.

Looking forward to sucking the experts dry of their knowledge, and sharing what little I know :D

CR.

Hey all,

I've already enjoyed support here - so it's only good manners to introduce myself and extend a grateful thanks to those who've already helped me!

I'm a self taught web designer living in Clonee -

Keep up the good work all!

Ah, self thought... the only way to go. Aren't we all actually?

Welcome! :D

Thanks!

I understand that this is only an introduce thread, but as a matter of interest, do you 'self taught' guys find it hard to know what to learn next?!!

I find it frustrating - there's so much involved in modern web design practices, with many different aspects and schools of thought.

...big of a daunting mountain at times!

Introduction : Hello !

Well, since there is no other section in this forum for introductions ( or I couldn't find it ) I decided to post here my first post. I am darkstar ( actually my real name is Mihai ) and I live in Romania. I am involved in UK web world mostly but I also found this forum useful.

I have recently taken on development over an irish website, a shop with cars from ireland ( if links not allowed please remove the link - thank you ) so discussions related to making money of it would be interesting.

As I said, I am involved in UK web world so I have some development experience ( tho I am not a programmer ), I like sports a lot ( football and basketball mostly ).

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact.

A quick hello

Hello everyone.

I liked the post where everyone was describing the things they did do to stay awake when they are coding at night -
it reminded me of my final degree year when I swore that I would never become a full time coder if I could avoid it.

After 4 years of computing I realised that it was such a big subject that there is no point trying to learn it all.

I later took time out to study the web because I realised it had the potential to help people in rural areas become
financially independant.

The learning curve for web development is big, for sure, but using the divide and conquer approach always works best.

For example, last week I was attempting to get the Smarty template engine working for a php site and I was at it for
so long that my brain was turning to mush. I put it on hold over the weekend and chilled out.
Tonight I got it working after 5 minutes. Im sure it sounds familiar.

I am an open source fan and like to work with Linux Servers,PHP,MySQL,CSS & XHTML.
